A message from our founder
A couple of years ago, my husband and I started thinking and praying about where our oldest daughter would go to school (she was only 2 years old at the time, but I'm a planner if nothing else!). I loved the idea of homeschooling for the sake of gaining additional time with my children during their most formative years, but was intimidated by the responsibility of making sure their academic and social needs would be met.
I heard about the University Model, The Heritage Leadership Academy in Raleigh specifically, and absolutely loved the concept of combining the best of both homeschool and private Christian school. We even considered enrolling our kids in the Raleigh HLA campus, but knew that the commute would severely limit our ability to foster true community for our family (especially our kids). It was an answer to prayer when HLA said that they would partner with us to set up a network school here in Rocky Mount!
We know that the University Model will not be the right fit for every family, and that is okay! Every student, and every family, is different. Our desire and prayer is for you to find what is the best fit for your child, whatever that might look like.
It is so exciting to see this dream come to life, and to be able to offer another great educational option to the families in our area. We can't wait to start this journey with many of you and work together to disciple the next generation of Christ followers!
